The University of Gloucestershire's inaugural Festival of Learning is organised by Dr David Webster, Head of Learning and Teaching Innovation, and is open to all staff.
The event will bring together staff from the University together along with those from Compact Schools and partner colleges, to celebrate learning in Gloucestershire and reflect on what can be learned from each other.
The keynote speaker is anthropologist Dr Donna Lanclos, who is currently Associate Professor for Anthropological Research at the University of North Carolina. She has worked with a range of organisations including the Wellcome Trust, Imperial College Libraries and Jisc designing and delivering a range of workshops to support organisational change across a variety of institutional agendas, including approaches to the use of physical and digital spaces.
Dr Webster invited Dr Lanclos having seen her contribution to Jisc's 2016 Digifest. Her 'provocation' for this event can be found here https://www.jisc.ac.uk/news/the-death-of-the-digital-native-23-feb-2016
